Today I had one of those "my child has finally got it" days. I've been teaching my five year old son his letter sounds and have been trying to teach him how to start blending some of the sounds to make a word. It's been a little bit frustrating for both of us, but today he seemed to get it! I asked him what is the sound when you combine ot together and he did it! Then I asked him, "If you put an h in front of that sound what word do you get?" And he said, "Hot!"
I was so excited! We tried several more sounds, and he did them all perfectly. He acted like it wasn't a big deal, but to me it was. Thank you God for those little blessings in life.
